Where's the anger?

It's stuff like this that drives investors away from the stock market for good. Trust is important: when you read an announcement you expect to read truth. If it turns out that the real truth is the opposite to what you read, and no-one gets punished for telling clever porkies, then who would want to continue playing that game?

I feel really angry, and I didn't even buy any 1st shares.

But I did read the first announcement as soon as it came out and thought,"wow! That is a really big win for 1st."

My mind reacted just the way the writer of that announcement wanted it to react. It never crossed my mind that what I was reading was a million miles away from the truth.

How would it be if all companies adopted this practice with their market sensitive announcements?
