You put the argument forward advocating that flying two 787s would be more fuel efficient than one A380. I said that there isn't much difference as far as fuel efficiency is concerned. Engine power-ratings are close, along with overall fuel economy (km per litre) when factoring in 2 aircraft to 1.

10 years is on the cusp. Look at the QF72 incident.

If QF don't have the passenger volume to fill an A380, they should codeshare Perth to London via the traditional hubs Bangkok/Singapore.

QF executives have concert thinking, once the thought sets, they usually won't change their minds.

I do acknowledge that QF have world class pilots and engineers.
