From memory, they did this when the SP was at 1.9c back a few years ago and a certain poster made a massive fuss about it (old holders know who she is). Anyway, the board from memory did NOT buy back anything, but did release an announcement stating their intentions. It created a floor around the 1.9c level for a very long time. This could effectively just be a statement for the public informing us that they have the intention of, but not necessarily will be buying back the shares.
