500m would need shareholder approval as it would be over 10%. This is just a quick and easy trigger, I'd bet there will be more to come. And this is on top of dividends. I really can't recall a company/sector in the last 20 years that had this much surplus cashflow and was returning it to shareholders, other than the iron ore miners. but they were never trading at 2-3x earnings.
