What is the point of this acquistion? RFG already own businesses that have roasters and these businesses roast coffee. If these roasters are already being run 24/7 and failing to keep up with demand, they could always buy a bigger roaster.
Are there any economies of scale or vertical integration that come from this acquisition? I highly doubt it.
Can RFG even afford this on current cash flow without taking on more debt?
Did they just buy this business to get Phillip Di Bella on their staff?
What are these products they talk about in the announcement? What a load of rubbish!
there are coffee shops popping up everywhere these days, Competiton is intense. Doesn't matter how good your beans are, your coffee is only as good as the person who manages the inventory to ensure you have fresh beans and the person who makes your coffee - grinds on demand, pours the milk in gently to keep the crema intact, back flushes the machine and cleans the machine every day, etc. RFG and Di Bella exert little to no control over these factors which is what will impact on how much they sell to their customers.
