Lol ...... low blow tactics !! It is called business and it happens in every sector , if it didn't we'd have 10 airlines all running at break even , instead each business tries to weaken the other and take their market share .
You are a twit saying....." Its not that Virgin doesn't want those aircraft that REX now has its that they simply can't keep them. They went into administration remember? " .........yeah Virgin needed to shed aircraft as they were reducing their flying BUT the aircraft they got rid of were the oldest and most troublesome which just means T-rex has some big maintenance costs coming to it in a pretty short amount of time relative to flying hours .
Celebrate Australia day you say ...... ok genius how much revenue/profit did they make from making this "token" gesture ? Qantas did the right thing by the company and it's shareholders by NOT flying around for zero profit .... T-rex just wasted their shareholders money flying a zero profit flight at a time when the last thing any airline should be doing is making token gestures . Qantas has always flown the Aus day flights in the past but thats when they had money coming in and would have been see as irresponsible and wasteful if they had done it this year .......... i guess that is the difference in CEOs ... QF Ceo is a realist whereas T-rex CEO has his head in the clouds thinking that anyone even noticed the Aus day flight .
