"G8 Education has risen to the top of the class, awarded five stars by Aussie parents and topping our ratings table for childcare providers." (CanStar, September 2016)
NOTE: G8 is the only childcare organization in Australia with a 5-star overall rating (individual consumer ratings).
Which company is Islay writing about? No firm is perfect, and ratings aren't perfect either (although large sample customer ratings such as at Canstar come close in the longer term). But surely G8 is doing something well regarding training, connecting with communities, providing caring services to children, etc. In fact, G8's finances last year had a bit of a knock back to due increased training costs (not just revised ratios).
Just because the new CEO spent two years in supply chain doesn't mean G8 is a purely logistics company. Just because the new CEO spent most of his career in accounting and finance, doesn't mean he is going to nickel and dime parents, staff, and facilities (i.e. the GM syndrome). At the same time, successful companies thrive on many forms of expertise and passions, and logistics and financial savvy are typically among them. The value of logistics and finance are apparent even in social services industries (e.g. hospitals in several countries have dramatically improved patient care through lean management practices).
And the nonsense that "G8 only have Chris Scott". Give it a break! Scott did a tremendous job piecing together this organization in a fragmented market. But G8 has many people with much more childcare experience than Chris Scott because his background ISN'T childcare. He owned a trucking firm in Singapore.

P.S. I'm not in logistics or finance, just educated a bit in them and well read on their good and bad consequences.
