Yeah you nailed it. These guys need to believe they are the richest and smartest guys in the room. Myself heading into a different arena gave the possibility I could very well make a lot of money and all of a sudden their importance and relevance is compromised.

Me too, I’ve made plenty of bad calls but on balance if I had of been out on my own I’d made a ton more than lost. I’ve always had a knack of picking macro movements as well and domineering brokers can prevent you dancing in tune with it.

Also on the same page regarding good luck. Put the work in this game, understand what your involved in and use risk management in terms of diversify and hedge and so called good luck follows.

When all is said and done it’s not a place for emotion, especially ego. Where’s Elon Musk or Buffets ego? There is none, they just get down and work with humility.
