There are hundreds, likely thousands, of competent people for every position known. You can have a "diversity hire" and still end up with a good hire.

Looking at it simply, women and men are about a 50/50 split. Law of averages dictates that competence for any occupation would be equally split. However, men have historically dominated.

To argue men have been or just are more competent is a fantasy. So is arguing any hire that doesn’t reflect historical trends is merely to satisfy 'woke ideology'.

There are more men applying in these types of roles, my workplace put out a diversity report and it is f*ing hilarious to read.... There are so many things you can say for why your ideal 50/50 split is ridiculous.
