To argue men have historically dominated these positions (and fields like music science etc) purely due to higher competence seems more than a bit naive. Or that there aren't many complex reasons why men tend to "apply more".

But sure, ok. I have no doubt you found the diversity report hilarious, but also very doubtful you read it intending to find it anything else.
