i have faith in the JV & our management to find more oil, and more importantly to turn it into sales dollars... and ultimately, a higher share price.

and whilst climate change is a thing, i also don't believe the demand for oil & gas will disappear overnight.

reserves discovered in the next 5-10years may well be some of the last to make it to production as investment in the industry starts to recede on the back of what will undoubtedly be a stronger push to green energy, especially as technologies in that area advance.
oil companies may find the economic reward just won't be there for their investment.

you might get away with an 8 year wait to production for a 2030 discover, but would you be so certain of a 2040 discovery?

if pavo and apus come up the goods, i'd expect we can still profit from their commercialisation... maybe even another couple of short term prospects in the bedout area.

barring some ludicrous spike in the share price or a takeover, i'll probably hold for production and at least 2-3 years of dividends.
it's not every day you can hold a 7 figure parcel into dividends.

it may well be a pipe dream mate, but my eyes are wide open, and whilst i love CVN, i don't fall in love with a stock, if things turn, be they micro or macro, i will adjust risk accordingly.
the only problem is, i'm the eternal optimist, the glass is always half full and the sun will rise in the morning!
