Pumping brine, or transporting it via a pipeline I am guessing would as some have pointed out some kinda plastic and taking into account that it would be brine which is a salty liquid this would probably be more practical than say stainless steel. I remember John Holland build a desalination plant on the Gold Coast and they didn't select the right type of stainless so this caused some problems. Again this is from memory and I am just sharing this in the hope that someone else might come up with something from it.

Salta is the closest city by road which is around 173km and Antofagasta is around 100km but it is a bit of a beaten track. Though with that said it is a pipeline, and and travel from there might be able to be done via say a helicopter. I know that FMC has their own airport at Fenix next door to Sal De Vida.

The pipeline honestly has me stumped as it is something entirely different to any other operation that I am aware of.

Though it would allow other companies to plug into it under a partnership to a central hub, probably no different to transporting oil across the country to various refineries. Any oil folks around could probably offer some valuable input here.

Also, I don't know if it is worthwhile considering the liquid that would be in the pipeline at any given time. How much volume of liquid for the entire length.

Galaxy have already shown an interest in doing something different via their investment into Lepidico and in @Jehosephat's post he mentioned an R&D type arrangement, but the company wasn't going to stop there and was open to many ideas to accelerate the process, from their ore bodies, and no doubt from their 'brine bodies'¿

Will someone please just tell me what the plan is, I am dying to know!

I realise most are probably just interested in making money and sure so am I, but all the potential science and shizzle going on has my head spinning...

Hydro power is quite simple. All you need is gravity and there would be plenty there in the Andes. Don't know if whats going down the pipe would be sufficient to spin some turbines but do know that the speedy evaporation of the brine is the holy grail.
Regardless, with this sort of infrastructure required the assistance of our beautiful Argentinian Director - Florencia. would be important in negotiation with the Argentine Government. Bit short sighted refusing her options IMO.
