I agree that Qld govt's green light for csg seems to look only good for ucg. CXY has invested millions of dollars on its Kingaroy project. In granting CXY permission in the first place to go ahead at Kingaroy, wouldn't CXY and the Qld govt have had to enter into a contractual agreement of which the Qld govt will be in breach if it does not lift the ban without provably valid reason? The csg approval makes it clear that there can be no environmental objection to ucg. Therefore cxy cannot be in breach of any such (environmental) condition of whatever contract exists. If the ban is not lifted (and presumably within some specified timeframe) it would appear that CXY has at least a clear cause of legal action for damages.
