JE's right, it is their personal choice.
But... if they did buy, or at the very least receive more of their remuneration as options and stock, there would be a lot more interest and buying pressure from all investors.
I believe they will buy eventually, and that they will time it based on the best time to push momentum in the SP leading up to equity finance. In a way it makes sense that they keep their powder dry to make a big statement once the pointy end is actually in sight.
