@Peter Winkle - I think you are right and robots will become more prevalent in society and fairly soon I suspect - next 15 years.

Technology moves fast, exponentially fast - just look at the improvement of the iPhone - it was only 2007 when the first pretty basic version was released - and now look at how much they do for us today and it's only been 15 years.

With that in mind, did anyone see the new Tesla's new Optimus robot at their AI Day last week? It's pretty clunky now, but Musk (I'm not a massive fan by the way) thinks within a few years he'll have them for sale for less than $20k. Much of the tech that has gone into the robot is from the car, the current computer/battery etc, and the neural networks are pulling directly from Autopilot also. So if we are going to surmise about a quantum AI chip in a car, it can pretty easily go in a robot.

The applications for a robot with an AI brain are pretty endless
    - anything that's super dangerous, eg robot firefighters (working alongside people)
    - maybe they'd be able to replace the role of a guide dog in the future
    - maybe they could provide companionship/entertainment for older people
    - maybe mini bots could monitor your inner health, they could talk to an AXE quantum 'health' chip in your watch or phone that constantly monitors your DNA, your blood sugar, blood pressure etc. Biochip anyone?

There are obvious re-rate milestones along the AXE development path, but I wouldn't expect a production line version of a chip for at least 5 years (maybe I'm wrong). That first chip would be good for some of the basic quantum tasks that are obvious to us through a '2022' lens, encryption, defence etc. But as the chip improves over time, how good will a chip be in 10 or 20 years time? What advances in technology happen in the next 10 years and what do these discussions look like with a '2032' lens?

Of course, they have to build it first - Good luck all.
