Looking at some numbers from 2007 (using Stock Doctor) I see JBH hit a p/e of 29 at the peak of the bull there, while Harvey Norman did even better at 33.5. Who knows how much further they'd have run if that GFC thingy hadn't come along? And in late 2020 even The Reject Shop was far from feeling rejected with a p/e of 37.5.
