Well this update is sort of iinteresting on the progress of the Liquidation, with the Liquidator accepting AGT's (subsidiary of AAU) claims totalling ~$22m USD as I read it, as valid claims to be distributed out of any collected Liquidation proceeds if and when.
Apart from what appears to be a typo, that the claim was submitted on 11th Feb 2025 and not 2024, these claims would have to far exceed those of the Dominican Republic Govt (disputed taxes and all that), so on a cents on the dollar basis this would very much be weighted n the favour of AAU as I read it and remember the susbequent smaller amounts that the DR govt were disputing over, on an assumed equal ranking of all creditors basis that is.
The irony however, seeing the possible recovery of ~$22m USD for just cents on the dollar being a "win", but at this stage if it could see some much needed cold hard cash to be banked into AAU's accounts, that is certainly a win in that context if it comes to fruition.
It would be good to get a further more detailed update on the Liquidation, summarising total claims accpeted into Liquidations and the progress of any recoveries, next steps, expected timelines and enforcability.
but that's 58 pages in for something that is slightly, and possibly positive.
