Hi arnies, suspect you might be right here. I might just quickly reiterate what we know so far (from the clinicaltrials site which is not necessarily accurate):
1) Neuren's language regarding this trial hasn't changed for well over a year now.
2) University of Arizona joined the trial in Jan 2015 but didn't start recruiting until October 2014.
3) A Detroit hospital joined the trial in Jun 2016 but isn't recruiting yet.
4) clinicaltrials was updated in October (when Arizona came on line) from an Oct 2015 finish to a Jun 2016 finish. It may well be a mistake to think that date means anything- after all the date was changed in Oct 15 when the trial was supposed to finish- so it could have just been pulled out of a hat to keep the database happy.
Interesting that the trial started enrolling in Sep 14 (Neuren ann), we knew there were enrolment problems by the AGM (Apr 15). And here we are a year later and still apparently enrolment is slow.
This is why I will be impressed if they get the Rett trial done by the end of the year. Trials are long, hard and slow and Neuren tends to be overoptimistic with their timing estimates.
