For what it's worth this is my speculation.

I reckon they are thinking of taking over an explorer, someone like Mako Gold, in Ivory Coast who appear to be sitting on a huge deposit and are close to TIE.

Why the secrecy? Because the shares of TIE are already massively undervalued and they dont want to scare the chooks at this delicate time (no announced realised production rates).

Kind of fits in with both the corporate strategy and the current situation where they are massively undervalued and do not want a take over.
