It is worth looking at the top 20 shareholders included in the report (as at 7/10/10) and comparing it to the list of the year prior.
Total shares held by top 20 has gone up by 2m, but the latest list should include the 10M shares issued to M&G. That being so, the top 20 from last year must have drastically reduced their holdings.
That seems to be true when you look at the names that have disappeared, and also that last year a holder needed to have 948,000 shares to get on the list, but this year 687k will get you on the list.
Does not fill one with confidence does it?
