"this possible resource is the right type that requires a less demanding process of extraction?"
Probably , would be my answer. I dont think they would mention up coming resources for these prospects if there wasn't oxides there. Question is how of it will be the required oxide ? Certainly will contribute to the required amount i'd say.
The drill results released thus far at these prospects are shallow enough that they should be partially in the oxide category, which is what they are chasing. Shallow stuff over there tends to be weathered oxide type rock, say from surface down to 50m, but not always. Probably some transitional ore types also.
Foumbiri for example has :
11m at 5.3 g/t gold from 34m
10m at 4.8 g/t gold from 13m
13m at 2.0 g/t gold from 0
5m at 4.7 g/t gold from 15m
3m at 2.9 g/t gold including 10m at 5.3 g/t gold from 72m
10m at 2.6 g/t gold including 3m 6.9 g/t gold from 54m
10m at 1.9 g/t gold including 6m at 3.1 g/t gold from 71m
So good grades over decent widths at foumbiri and nice and shallow. This would likely be a shallow part oxide/part transition resource simular to Kouglaga part of konks perhaps...
Doubema has:
10m at 3.1 g/t gold from 50m including 3m at 6.5 g/t gold from 52m
3m at 5.2 g/t gold from 30m
12m at 16.1 g/t gold including 4m at 45.8 g/t gold from 80m 9m at 11.9 g/t gold including 5m at 20.2 g/t gold from 52m
9m at 4.7 g/t gold from 44m
13m at 2.1 g/t gold includi ng 2m at 11.5 g/t gold from 15m
Again ,these are some hefty grades over some very reasonable widths , but nothing like konks in size. The average depth of intercepts at Doubema are little further down , so maybe not as much oxide type material there , but all depends really, who knows what mother nature has been up to over the last couple of billions of years...
So Foumbiri and doubmema seem to be smaller pods of shallow high grade mineralisation , not a huge mid-grade grade deposit like konks , but if they combine to make up about 200-300K ounces of oxide/transition , they may have what they need for the PFS, as these prospects are close enough to the proposed plant site . Would need to see the met-work at these finds also, might have all ore type easily treatable, not just oxide.
Gold everywhere at Batie . Showing up all over the place and the high grades are everywhere from Konks to Torkera. You don't see this in just any old stretch of dirt.....just need to find the mother lode !
