regarding the annual report, is it just me or do others think a beautiful glossy well published annual report is a bit of a waste of money considering it can be downloaded online? A number of the other stocks I hold just send out very basic A4 double sided reports which serves the same purpose but a lot cheaper.
Given the current climate a board that looks to conserve cash is a good one. There was a good example written on one of the threads I follow the other week about Jesse Livermore trying to decide out of 2 companies which to invest in. He goes to both AGM's and notices one chairman with expensive pen, gold leaf note pad and quite happily tearing up paper and throwing it in the bin. The other company chairman had a cheap pen and was taking notes on the back of used envelopes.
No prizes for guessing which company he invested in!
