They've talked about re-starting Tutunup for the past 12 months, not sure whether they will in the short or medium term. I think they are just trying to put some positive spin out there. Tutunup is a good point for MZI holders though. It was opened in 2007 (I think 2007). Shut down a couple of years ago when TiO2 fell away.

Like I've mentioned to you all, the big sand boys are now giving Australia a fairly wide berth, mainly due to the fact that opex costs are pretty much double that of Africa. Rio Titanium is cranking up a biggy on the East Coast of South Africa, you have Base Resources and Mineral Deposits getting it together (well - MDL think they are) and host of other small bit players going hard.

If you read the Iluka announcement out this arvo, pretty much confirms their direction and its Africa.

    RCF.
Can someone tell me what they've done? Haven't seen an A Grade project they've backed. Haven't seen anyone on their payroll that knows anything about sand.

I sound all doom and gloom for a friday arvo, but if you go researching hard there are a couple of tiddlers that have some very interesting projects (but you have to look hard).

    Pep
