Quite clear to me that there will be no 'statement from the Govt'.. and that FAR have been told to defer to their legal remedies.... if desired...imo.
So, take the gloves off and scrap with COP (good luck there), or forge an 'amicable' settlement (as the Govt has suggested previously). Interesting stuff - however the market 'yawned' unsurprisingly.
I am not surprised COP rejected FARs advances (if that is what happened) as, quite simply, FAR was never in a position financially to PE 5% or 35%... so why would COP waste their time, and risk losing WPLs usd$450m?
No arbitrator will rule in favour of hypothetical scenarios... money talks, BS walks.. imo.
