Defined - Mission Statement is:

1. a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual.
   "a mission statement to which all employees can subscribe"
   
   
   Defined - Vision Statement is:
   
   a company's road map, indicating both what the company wants to become and guiding transformational initiatives by setting a defined direction for the company's growth.
   
   
   All major companies use these similar statements. They are charters for values and purpose.
