It's because people are trying to find some desperate positive from a declining share price. As you have noticed, there isn't one. There might be if you were a new investor and made the trade and got the shares for cheap, after all it's only 1 point off the 24 month low, but that's presupposing it won't go lower.
I can't see how the SP could possible be bolstered, given that there's no possibility of significant sales because Bacchus Marsh is incomplete and costs continue to rise.
