Other than announcing the deal itself, I don't think Treagus could have been clearer as to the state of play. I can't see how we can get to the AGM with out a final outcome in the next 5 weeks.
I did also like that he was explicit in saying "including through partnering". Reading the sentence it didn't need to be added "we have been evaluating options to secure that funding" would have been enough. I would think it would be misleading to mention it if the "late stage" discussions were not inclusive of this. To me I think it also rules out going alone which is a relief.
So I couldn't be happier with that statement. Bring on the partnering deal!
