Lets just say I get paid to know what to do, and how to do it safely, efficiently and to protect the companies equipment in case of emergency's and crash stops, or critical failures of plant equipment... by continually monitoring all of the processing equipment, I do hourly written data logging of flows, density readings, pump speeds, weights, power consumptions etc. every hour about 25 different bits of data I have to read from different areas to log and make sure they are within the operation variances for the day.

also if I fail to notice things starting to go wrong, or not paying attention to my plant, and not seeing the signs of failure of equipment, as we cant always trust alarms.. it can be a bad outcome.... two days of downtime on one single line.. is worth my annual salary x7... so yeah.
