The finance facility also contains a contractual commitment for payment of a fee on the first 1.25 million ounces of gold sold fromthe Sanbrado Gold Project. The fee for each ounce of gold sold will be calculated as the spread between the LBMA quoted am fixprice on the date the refined gold is credited to the Company’s metals account and the lowest LBMA quoted gold price (am fix or pmfix) during the preceding 8 business day period.
The Group has the option to terminate the product fee commitment at any time by paying the net present value (applying a 5%annual discount rate, and assuming the timing of gold sales as set out in the mine production schedule) of the pre-agreed price perounce for the remaining committed ounces.
Just wonder what is the pre-agreed price per ounce here. With this volatility, the spread could be as wide as $100/oz.
