The top shareholders have the most skin in the game and therefore the most to lose.
At the time of the COP deal COP were forced to sell down by their bankers because of their debt burden and WPL took advantage of this to snag a bargain.
OK FAR will be squeezed as well if they cannot address their future obligations. Top shareholders will be well aware of this logic indicates they will be pulling out all the stops to avoid any possibility of a fire sale.
