Currently, OBL have a most difficult set of financial statements to digest and understand.

For this reason the day after an OBL profit announcement is often a good test of that announcements worth. Twenty four hours gives analysts (often burning the midnight oil) the time to fully digest the result. For that reason I am encouraged by the over 5 per cent gain in the OBL share price today (so far).

I know the market is up and a further announcement made today seems favourable, but the price rise provides some confidence to those who feel they are a bit in the dark understanding what the OBL financial statements really mean for the health of the company.

It is particularly encouraging in light of the recent decline in the OBL price leading up to the profit announcement. This suggested the result may not be good.

To me, it looks like a very strong result which as yet is not fully reflected in the bottom line. It should be understood that much profit from the early funds is there but remains a work in progress, as yet not hitting the bottom line.
