The negative change to NTA has come about due to heavy impairments in the last set of accounts and was also commented on as being a point of qualification by the auditors. Large impairments leading to losses on profit and loss statements and reductions in shareholders funds frightens many investors and reduces the investor demand for the stock IMO. I have no doubt that those that understand the early signs of turnaround stories will probably benefit it would have been better if the fundamentals were not hampered by such balance sheet appearances.
