One aspect of investing has always amazed me. We talk about PIQ being fully valued at the moment on its current achievements. What l cannot get my head around is companies like Afterpay and Zip pay that currently trade at large losses but are sold on for huge valuations. Aren't they exactly the same as PIQ? Huge potential market and income yet to be realized. The market is happy to factor in future potential profits for those companies, but when it comes to health care - potential future profits are not factored into the companies share price. My own theory is no body really values human life, heck we have just about reproduced ourselves off the planet. Nobody in power will man up and admit to that fact though. Paradoxically, companies that promise to make money go stellar in valuations. Look at Bitcoin, no body has one iota of a clue what one bit coin is worth. Asset backing to number on issue, basic investment stuff. So, PIQ valuation? Truth is it just does not excite the market. Just like most health care stocks. Investors are greedy and self centred, they just want money, money, money. Saving a few million sick people does not excite your average Capitalist. Well thats my theory just looking at how the equites markets work.
