a warehouse facility is used when u want to take loans or write loans off your balance sheet almost all non bank lenders use a warehouse facility from a bank , merchant bank etc once a predetermined amount of loans are written and catabolised these loans are then securitised and both the bank and originator (PIL) share in the margin at predetermined percentage it allows for a funding business to grow very very quickly without constantly having to ask for capital from shareholders
