I think you are mistaken on how big of a deal Novacq has is to Ridley. It is a minor thing on the side, it always was and still is a tiny side project. It has got even more tiny with the recent write downs.
Ridley spend $100 million on new feedmills in the from 2017-2020. Lara, Westbury and Wellsford. Add in another $20 mil or so of other capital expenditure at Pakenham other at other mills and that is a quarter of their market capitalisation. And that is just what I know off the top of my head. I'm sure there has been other things that have escaped my attention.
You are looking at one tree in a much larger forest. Nothing wrong with being inquisitive but your focus seems a long way from their core business.
