Rand is a subsidiary of Tribune so it's reported together in the consolidated financial statements on a 100% basis even though Tribune only owns 46% (see notes 2 and 33 in the financial statements). We know this is the case because there is an item in the balance sheet under equity for 'non-controlling interest', representing what is attributable to other shareholders of Rand, separate from what is attributable to shareholders of Tribune.
