Dead right Kevo88, the "Weed" had become almost extinct and only existed in that tiny area of the desert, and the "so called" greenies and environmentalists have known that it would become extinct quite naturally eventually for the last 50 years, but what did they do about it? Nothing !!!

They didn't build greenhouses, or transplant it, or collect more seeds to do research, or any other life saving work to save the plant, they would have let it get extinct finally and put that down to natural processes. They are self appointed blue-blood academic hypocrites, hiding under the veil of greenies and environmentalists, because in-reality they are not, they are really just an "anti-mining" lobby and extremists.

The only group who are saving the "Weed", is Ioneer, INR has actually become it's saviour.

And they are typical Americans, they want to dig up every other country to get their resources from, they espouse the worst kind of mining colonialism, to keep their own backyard pristine while trashing South America and Africa and even Australia, to take what they want. Oh yeah, but they still want electric cars and iPhones and wind turbines and solar panels and battery powered machinery and home goods.

And they have a bag of standard tricks and practices that anyone can see through, except the bureaucrats and government public servants. If it wasn't a "Weed" they could find out there, they would have gone looking for an insect, and failing that, they usually then go and consult with the Indigenous people of the region (and sometimes even pay them) to claim that the mine is on a sacred site.

There were no less than 27 references to the "Weed" in this report, for goodness sake, you'd think they were saving the extinction of mankind.

And the anti-mining extremists are watching every move. Unfortunately the drilling contractor put down a pad where there was a "Weed", so that probably initiated a hundred phone calls, and thousands of letters from the hypocrites, and ten thousand pages of bureaucracy at the government department, so the company had to harvest some of their seedlings and go and replant the area and make sure new "Weeds" grow there.

Of course, any rational person can see the lies and duplicity behind all these so-called greenie extremists (aka anti-mining lobby groups), let alone the pure insanity of it all.

I can't wait for the 45 day public comment period, I'm already preparing an eloquent contribution, not the least of which is to describe how the ONLY group in the last 50 years who have done anything practical to save the "Weed" is INR, and Ioneer has now become it's saviour, without any help from environmental green extremists. Have any of these extremists offered to help Ioneer and work in the greenhouses for free, or given their time in planting and raising new plants in the INR facility? No !!!
