The gold ore is contained in narrow veins within bloody hard granite
They have to remove a lot of granite to get to gold bearing ore making it a very expensive exercise IMHO.
One would have to think the big experienced miners have run an eye over it and for some reason decided it isn't for them and if that were the case others would be shy to put up the cash.
They were unable to raise the cash when the gold price was a quarter of the current price so the fact they haven't been able to raise the funds at current gold prices , certainly speaks volumes IMHO.
