got the following response from the company when I asked exactly that
”In short, Tribune has many years now reported its gold inventory as a value at cost rather than in terms of ounces held. It is something the company has been consistent with reporting and is in line with Board directions. There are other mining companies that report in the same manner as Tribune though I appreciate this doesn't help your financial modelling.”
I think we know why they do this and they’ll continue their buybacks as a takeover by stealth mechanism.
