So what exactly does all the above mean if the company has moved to contractor model (if true)

Has the company identified production issues and taken action to keep the company profitable and cannot disclose future revenue because it's reliant on the contractor delivering. We could speculate and come up with a number of possibilities.

The quarterly is not far off and should be telling. I think most are/were expecting a decent result.

Hope it's the case and the company is on a path to sustained revenue and positive exploration results.
