Well, what did he actually deliver for SGQ? He went down the Lithium and battery tech path with Mt Ida Fault area and failed to deliver. Firstly, the market doesn't care about lithium anymore. Secondly, there was huge drilling costs involved to chase those pegmatite fields.
Sounds like this 'company making' Brazilian asset was not his doing. Management can take credit to get the deal across. Not really much need for him now unless he wants to be Brazil based. Saves the company some money on admin costs and the share price will likely rise on the back of this news IMO.
