I fully admit I don’t know the rules RE ASX takeovers, sales etc. Mr Tribe owns an enormous number of shares (30%??). He couldn’t unload them on-market. If he wanted to exit by selling to Big Pharma, can he drag us along with him? Is it a Board decision? Or a SH vote? I know I bang on about this but I think $2 is really selling it short (providing trials go well of course). I read an interesting article yesterday about Retinitis Pigmentosa (sorry; don’t have the link) that said that in southern India and China the rate of RP is about 1 per thousand. (OK; RP11 is only 3% of that). That is still a big pool of potential patients for the treatment, even if the rate is discounted due to Govts not being flush with cash. (Although given China’s trade surplus, you’d wonder.) And it’s a platform technology…who knows what other crafty cures the R&D people will find for it?
I wish everyone a restful weekend. We finished on an ATH on a pretty average day for the ASX. That in itself might put PYC on a few new radars. What’s not to like?
