Despite commenting regularly on companies heavily reliant on clinical trialling on Hot Copper (like day in, day out) you obviously have not heard that clincal researchers are very often, overly optimistic on recruitment times, too narrow eligibility criteria, lack of engagement of recruiters/trial team, lack of competence/training/experience of recruiters, insufficient initial funding, and high burden for trial participants to be the most frequently reported reasons for systematic recruitment delays in RCTs.

Yet CYP, as shown above, and contrary to your uninformed slander, is, unusually, actually managing and guiding its trial timelines very well.
