Seems like some heads are imploding today. Sort of sad, really.

Stevo: I don't know who dobbed you into the mods and I didn't get to see some of your posts before they were removed, but I'm pretty sure I didn't miss much.

I think it's probably worth everyone, myself included, to take a step back from this silly conversation, take a look and rethink it.

We have some just throwing out ridiculous insults out of pain and other than a handful of bulls dragging it into silly insults, for the most part the conversation has devolved into silly dissections of pointless technicalities like gcar arguing at absurd length about whether or not several others have proof of finer details of the ATL contract etc, as if they are the big issues.

Of course, as usual, the conversation is being deliberately dragged into such nonsense to avoid seeing the forest for the microscopic wood fibres.

The big picture is that the company is obviously in severe trouble, and when you have a nasty market, a company in severe trouble is going to get hit harder than most. It's just an ugly reality. You can pretend the important thing is whether or not Rob technically worded something in a way which can be twisted to give you an excuse to claim he was technically correct or not about some detail, you can argue about whether or not gcar's blatantly obviously untrue claims about his career and garage full of supercars and obviously untrue and contradictory claims about his AGY holdings can be 100% conclusively demonstrated to be untrue based on technicalities rather than what's obviously the case, you can argue over whether I spend a lot of the day on the stock market and check Hot Copper mainly for other reasons and sometimes get distracted by the AGY discussions or if I'm an elderly woman who loves to play volleyball and play scrabble in a nursing home, or you can stop finding excuses to distract yourself from the ugly reality of the company.

The company is out of money, needs a CR, spent years trying to produce, failed and mislead shareholders into thinking things were going better than they were, had to shut down operations because they had spent years bashing against a dead end to progress and couldn't afford to continue, probably won't be able to raise funds to continue, show no signs of being able to solve the same technical issues in the third plant which they couldn't solve in the first two plants, and even in best case scenario which is extremely unlikely, they will, after years of pain and dilution and almost certainly years of delays after years of slow bleeding in hibernation, be a low margin producer.

Personal attacks are only designed to be decoys to avoid facing this big picture reality. Focusing on one little branch of one of the trees does not change the overall picture of the forest. Speculating about anyone's motives for looking at the overall picture of the forest does not change the overall state of the forest.

Yes, the nasty markets this week pushed AGY down more quickly than any of us expected. That is not an excuse for the overall picture of the company. The 0.4c drop this week is less than a single pip was when I sold my last parcel.

Focus on nit picking or personal attacks if you want, but you're better off looking at the overall big picture of the company you're holding.
