I doubt it (possible but not probable). So IMO PL and whatever legal team they use would be busy with ASX to get the suspension lifted WITHOUT FLG having to do the equivalent of an IPO filing. It's beyond my understanding why the ASX has the Chapter 11 please explain. The business has diversified WITHIN its mining base (its gold and its in Chile where they have existing Lithium and Copper expploration). I really don't get it, and you can see plenty of similar type things.
e.g. what about this PoS company Haranga (apologies with anyone owns it) ... looks like a pretty good gold asset but they are/were a Uranium explorer focused on Africa with a small gold dirt patch. Now they're off acquiring a gold project in California. Wouldn't that raise the same eyebrows?
So, that's irritating (to me) as it looks (to me) that this potential acquisition, based on all the stuff I've read and posted looks transformative for FLG - and thats what they need. Gold in-situ should be "easy" to value. Acquisition costs will be key but like all OPTION DEALS it will be back end loaded for its capital payments as in tiny year 1, small year 2, manageable year 3-4 and balloon year 5-6 (that's me guessing a 6 year Option Agreement). Gold at US$3K/oz opens up a lot of options (and the best comparable IMO is still RIO2). If FLG can get this to a >1.5Moz/yr mine plan (especially an oxide leaching operation) then its a real project that will attract a development partner (and RIO2 is the obvious one to me).
I look at the stock now as a "option" ... and I especially like a Gold option in short term with potentially a copper play as well medium term and a lithium brine play longer term.
Turning the lights off? Always a possibility but that's why getting this gold asset is important.
