    yes, that sounds plausible about the non-auction sales raising better prices because of selling better pearls…and maybe people pay more private sales than at auctions?

    speaking of pearl inflation, I noticed that in the half yearly, they calculated $23 per pearl in the inventory, yet six months later in the yearly report, they calculated about $30/ pearl in the inventory…and the inventory had grown a lot, comparatively, too.

    those figures are from memory…you might want to check them…look at the note for inventory in each of the financial results.

    ….

    One hiccup to a bumper profit result maybe the cost of building this new-beaut vessel to replace their aged vessels that they talked about in the last annual report.

    that could turn out to be an expensive capital item…
