I just spotted this article from Merck. They have exclusive rights to sell Alusion under the name Ronaflair White Sapphire. It's classified as a synthetic sapphire, and is used as a functional filler. In this article, they're giving a heads up to what they will be promoting at the In-Cosmetics trade show in Paris in April. I am very confident that the new product, Ronastar Red Lights uses Alusion. They state in other documents that its a synthetic sapphire.  There appears to be a move away from cosmetic companies using microplastics. Well worth a read!
