As planned, Anshof 2A drilling after being diverted from the original hole has intersected high-quality Eocene oil reservoirs. They lie up the dip of the water-bearing Anshof-2 drilling and are slightly down dip from the Anshof-3 discovery borehole. Anshof-3 is now interpreted as a zone near the apex of the Anshof structure as a result of drill results.
The oil layer at ANS-2A is about three times the one in Anshof-3 and is about 20 percent more porous reservoirs. On the basis of electrical line recordings and print data obtained, high-quality Eocene sandstone reservoirs were found between 1,586.5 metres of total depth under water (TVD SS) and 1,599 meters TVD SS. An oil-water contact was found at a depth of 1,593 meters TVD SS
