Thought I'd share some research I recently came across regarding Neometal's patented eLi process. They were very interested in using electrolysis to convert liquid lithium chloride into lithium hydroxide. Their results from their semi-pilot plant in Buffalo, USA were very impressive in regards to specifications - they are included in the link below. For whatever reason five years have now passed without any further substantial progress as far as I can tell. Perhaps Anson will have better luck?
