If this is true. There is the potential someone owns the IP. If it's our new board member then happy days. If not then we can't use the tech for another 5 years - if it's been patented from this point on wards. Otherwise we're looking at a shorter time-frame.
Anyways, we don't know the conditions around resignation (if true) and joining ASN. There is no reason why he can't be at Lilac and also sit on ASN's board. He could sit on LKE's board as well if he really wanted to...
